INTIMACY & AUTONOMY WORKSHOP - FRIDAY (6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.), Saturday and Sunday (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
Dates for the workshops are determined in the following manner: when a minimum of 8 couples contacts us with interest in participating in the workshop, we contact them offering 3 potential weekend dates in the near future for the presentation of the workshop. The weekend, which works best for the greatest number of couples to commit to and attend, is the weekend we choose for the program. We have found that this system is more efficient than arbitrarily choosing periodic weekend dates.
INTIMACY & AUTONOMY CLASS - 5 WEEK-DAY EVENINGS (6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.)
Dates for the evening classes are determined in the following manner: when a minimum of 8 couples contacts us with interest in participating in the 5 week class, we contact them offering potential weeknight dates in the near future for the presentation of the class. The weeknight which works best for the greatest number of couples to commit to and attend is the weeknight we choose for the class. We have found that this system is more efficient than arbitrarily choosing periodic weeknight dates.

SEND PAYMENT FOR WORKSHOP OR CLASS:

You will receive a letter, phone call, and/or e-mail about the date of the upcoming workshop. If the date is workable for you and your spouse/partner you will need to send payment for the program, or at minimum, a deposit within 7 days to hold your space in the workshop.

Cost of the Workshop or Class is on a sliding scale from $395.00 to $595.00 per couple based on your estimation of what you can afford to pay.

The minimum deposit for a program to hold your space is $75.00. The minimum deposit is non-refundable. It serves as a statement of commitment to the date you agreed to for participating in the program. (The only exception to this would occur if a program had to be cancelled. If this were to happen, all monies received, including deposits, would be promptly returned to participants.)

Any remaining balance on the program cost is due 10 days prior to the start of the program.

Refer and bring another couple to the program you attend. (People can be very comfortable in doing so since the full benefit of the program can be had without sharing anything personal with the larger group.) If another couple does sign up (pre-registration and payment received) your fee is reduced by $50.00 for every couple you refer that attends.

PLEASE NOTE CANCELLATION POLICY:

There is $75.00 administrative fee (per couple) for all cancellations. This is the non-refundable minimum deposit.

Those couples canceling more than ten days prior to the program receive a full refund (less the administrative fee.)

Those canceling less than ten days prior to the program will receive full credit only toward the cost of a future program (less the administrative fee.)

Plans are underway to offer Competent Couples as part of a week-long "Vacation In Paradise" package at Caribbean luxury resorts. One location will be for the whole family with wonderful resources for children (and child care), and the second location will be reserved for couples only. Please check back at this web site in the next few months to learn more.

We constantly are asked whether Competent Couples is ever presented outside the Boston area. Currently it is only presented in Boston. It is possible, however, to have the program presented in your home area (within the U.S.) if a minimum of 10 couples from your area fully register for the program.
